Bikini in Sports
Since their modern introduction in 1940s by a French designer, bikinis have ever been growing in popularity. Ladies wearing bikinis in all sorts of styles, colours and sizes are constant sights in beaches and pools all over the world. Actually, bikini is not just meant for women since it basically refers to a female two-piece bikini, a male’s brief swimsuit and low-cut brief for both men and women.
The bikini is the most popular beachwear that even the world of sports is conquered by bikini-wearing individuals. Women and men wearing this type of garment have added bonanza and excitement to the world of sports. Known as sports bikini, they become standardised clothing pieces for athletes who participate in beach volleyball, athletics, bodybuilding and other tournaments.
